Timeline in words

1996

• Abigail Kathleen Breslin born on the 14th April

1999/2000

• Abigail books her first commercial (Toys R Us) and begins her acting career

2002

• Abigail books her first role in a feature film playing Bo Hess is M. Night Shyamalan's "Signs" working with Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix and Rory Culkin
• Abigail goes on to appear as a guest star in TV shows "What I Like About You" and "Hack"

2004

• Abigail had a busy year back in 2004, starting with a role in Raising Helen, with Kate Hudson
• Abigail then gave a wonderful performance as Kira Bedik in Keane
• Abigail had a guest role in two of the biggest shows on TV, playing Sandy Watson in Navy NCIS (Epison "see no evil") and Patty Branson in Law and order: SVU (Episode: "Birthright") • Later that year Abigail acted along side Makenzie Vega in the wonderful film "Chesnut: Hero of central park"

2005

• Abigail appeared along site Tori Spelling in a halmark movie "The Family Plan"

2006

• Abigail played the role of Rosebud in the movie Airbuddies and appeared as a guest star "Ghost Whisperer"
• Later in 2006 Abigial's most well known movie "Little Miss Sunshine" premiered at the Sundace film festival. Abigail played Olive Hoover and her wonderful performance was widely praised
• Abigail was nominated for 12 awards for her performance as Olive, including Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the BAFTA's (Check Abigail's Awards and Nominations page for the full list)
• Later the same year Abigail went on to appear in "Santa clause 3", "Grey's anatomy" and "The ultimate gift" which is set for release in 2007

2007

• In early 2007 it was announced that Abigail was nominated for an academy award for her portrayal of Olive in Little Miss Sunshine. At just 10 years old, Abigail is one of the youngest nominees in academy award history
• Abigail was also nominated for a BAFTA in 2007 but she unfortunately lost out to Jennifer Hudson
• Her movie "The ultimate gift" is to be released in March 2007 in which Abigail plays the role of Emily
• Abigail is currently working on two new films "Definitely, Maybe" and "No Reservations" and they are both set to be released later this year
• Abigail books another two movies: "Nim's Island" with Jodie Foster and "American Girl". Both are set to be released in 2008
